It’s a preference you ask for, it’s only used to show you the site in the theme you chose and it is never sent to our servers. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings, under site data. If you don’t choose the theme manually, the site follows your device’s light or dark setting and stores nothing.
What we don’t use
- profiling or advertising cookies;
- external analytics tools;
- fonts, icons, videos or maps loaded from third-party services: fonts and icons are hosted on our own server;
- social network buttons.
Visit statistics, if enabled, are computed on our own server from technical logs, with no cookies and no external tools. See the privacy notice.

Searching the articles works entirely in your browser: it downloads the article index from our site and sends the words you search for to no one.
