When you visit this site

Technical browsing data. Like any web server, the server hosting this site records the IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested and the browser type. We use them only to run the site, keep it secure and compute aggregate statistics on our own server. Legal basis: ARMADA’s legitimate interest in the security and operation of the service. Retention: only for as long as these purposes require.

No tracking. The site uses no profiling cookies, loads no analytics tools, fonts, videos or maps from third-party services and shares no browsing data with anyone. Details are on the cookies page.

Theme preference. If you manually choose the light or dark theme, the choice is saved only in your browser and is not sent to us.

Contact requests. If you write to us by email, call us or use the contact form, we use the data you give us only to reply and, if you ask, to prepare a quote. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request. Retention: for as long as needed to reply and handle the request; if it leads to a contract, for the period required by law.

Contact form protection. To prevent abuse, the form keeps for one hour a fingerprint of your IP address (not the address itself) and the time you sent the message: it is used only to limit submissions to 5 per hour.

When you use the ArchiviOnline desktop app

The app sends no statistics or usage data to ARMADA. It only communicates with:

  • the archive you connect to, for sign-in and sync: email, two-step verification code, the computer’s name and identifier, and the files in the synced folder. The password is not saved on the computer; the computer’s access is kept in the system keychain;
  • the archivionline.it update service, to check whether a new version is available. Like any web request, this check reveals the computer’s IP address.

The app log stays on the computer and is never sent by itself: you attach it to a support request yourself, if you want, after seeing what it contains.

The documents in your archive

When an organisation uses ArchiviOnline.it for its documents, the organisation is the controller of the data they contain and ARMADA processes it as a processor, under the data processing agreement required by Article 28 GDPR. The organisation’s administrator finds it in the archive, under Plan & service › Data processing agreement, and can download it as a PDF.

Archive data stays in Italy, in ARMADA’s Italian datacentres, and is not sent to external services, not even to generate document previews.

Where data is processed

On ARMADA servers in Italy. We do not transfer personal data outside the European Union.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format, in the cases set out in Articles 15 to 22 GDPR. Write to the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
